Many cats like to fit themselves into small containers. This kitty finds himself pretty comfortable in that tiny little basket. :)
Why do cats try to fit into things that are simply too small for them? Cats like a container that is snug and sturdy. If they discover that they can fit into a small box, they will do it again. Cats are creatures of habit, so it is no surprise that they hang onto things of sentimental value such as a box they love to nap in. That explains why sometimes you may find your cat choosing a tiny little cardboard box over the comfy, lovely cat bed you bought for him.
