A US Army corpsman found these little ginger kitties on a small FOB in Sangin Valley, Afghanistan. He became a frequent visitor to the kitties. Being away from his family, these little furry ones have given him the affection, comfort and feeling of home. "They made my 7 months fly by," he said.

"I'm a corpsman and when I got out here was attached to a grunt unit from 29palms. These cats where kept by the Brit contractors and they would let me come over and hang out with them... they really cheered me up after a long day," he wrote on reddit.
