Albert the cat is no stranger to many, but this kitty never ceases to surprise us with his incredible intellect and endless wits. He is a rejected show cat who was never given a chance to showcase his prowess, but has found a family that loves him for exactly who he is.

He's named after Albert Einstein for his uncanny resemblance and matching wild gray hair. Albert is a Selkirk Rex which is known for their highly curl hair.

Albert has a very important job!

He helps his humans, Mike and Susan, run Sagebrush Fine Art, in Salt Lake City, Utah, but truly Albert is in full charge.

The eight year old cat monitors the daily operation at the office and mulls around the gallery, contemplating ways to inspire his humans' artistic sense.

Albert has an amazing ability to stare and glare without moving. It's intimidating yet so endearing.

Every office could use a cat like Albert who gets his humans to do whatever he wants just by staring.

Don't let his permanent scowling face fool you, Albert is a real sweetheart. He purrs up a storm when he's petted. He may turn around and stare at you while you lovingly stroke his curly hair. Don't be alarmed. That's really his happy face.

Albert needs a lot of grooming to keep his wild hair together. He has no problem telling his humans if they aren't keeping up with the grooming routine.

Staring is a simple but powerful way for Albert to get his message across.
