Kitten Foster Takes in Tuxedo Sisters and Notices Neither One Can Stay Mad Long Enough to Finish a Fight

A foster took in two tuxedo kitten sisters, and it did not take long to notice that whatever disagreements break out between them, neither one can hold a grudge long enough to see it through before they are curled up together again.

Goose and Goji do just about everything as a pair. They sleep curled against each other, chase one another across the room in sudden bursts, and groom each other with obvious devotion. To understand how they became such a team, you have to go back to their mother.

Their mama, a gentle cat named Bijou, was found wandering an Atlanta, GA, neighborhood, heavily pregnant and looking for somewhere safe to land. Kind neighbors had been feeding her, but for a while no one stepped forward to bring her out of harm's way.

Then one person decided she deserved better, scooped her up, and reached out for help. When Catz 4 Life got the call, they said yes without hesitation, and about a week later, safe indoors, Bijou delivered five healthy babies. The litter followed a berry theme, and two of the girls became Goose, for gooseberry, and Goji, for the goji berry.

One by one, the little family found their futures. Bijou herself was adopted and now spends her days kneading biscuits in a home of her own. Two of the siblings, Tay and Cran, were adopted quickly, and their sister Marion recently found her own home. That left Goose and Goji, two outgoing, friendly girls still looking for someone to fall for them.

Goji, in particular, is affection in its purest form. "Goji is the sweetest and would climb inside your skin if she could. She literally can't get close enough. If you sit down, she's immediately in your lap," Aimee, the sisters' foster, told LoveMeow.

She cannot seem to get close enough to the people she loves, folding herself against them as though she has always belonged there.

Her sister Goose comes at affection from a slightly different angle. "Goose is a little more discerning with her affections, but is still incredibly sweet and loving. But once you're in, expect her to be crawling inside your skin as well," Aimee shared.

She takes her time deciding a person is worthy of her trust, but once someone has won her over, she melts into them just the same, eager to be as close as she can get.

More than anything, the two belong together. "Goji and Goose are for sure a bonded pair. They are always sleeping together, playing, grooming, and twinning," Aimee shared.

On any given afternoon, you might catch them collapsed into one black-and-white pile, or tangled in a wrestling match that dissolves, a moment later, into one sister patiently washing the other's ears.

Every day in foster care, they grow more confident and more affectionate, cared for by the same people who have looked after them since before they were born.

They have been inseparable since their first days, and Catz 4 Life is hoping to find one family with room for both.

Spayed and fully vetted, the sisters are ready to go together, bringing with them a friendship that was there long before any adopter came along.

Not long ago, Goose and Goji were unborn kittens riding out their first weeks inside a pregnant stray with nowhere safe to go. Today they are healthy, adored, and inseparable, waiting side by side for the one home that will keep them that way.
