An Amsterdam zoo house cat is nursing a baby red panda alongside a litter of her own kittens. The panda and its sibling were abandoned by the red panda mother and were put in an incubator. After the cat mother gave birth, she started nursing the 2 pandas, but only one baby panda survived.

The zoo is planning on letting the panda feed off the cat mother for another 3 months before switching over to solid food such as bamboo and fruit.
