A tiny four month old stray kitten came to a family garden, crying for attention on a chilly day in Japan. When the kitty saw a person come out of the house to his need, he walked up to him, claimed his lap and decided that's where he wanted to nestle in.

Sometimes cats choose us in the most unexpected way...

The moment when the tiny stray started squeaking and kneading in the lap, the person knew right then that he had been chosen by this surprise furry visitor.

He curled up in his human's lap for a nap. They knew the kitten was not going anywhere after that.

They named him Momiji.  He's all grown up now... there's no other place he likes more than being in his human's lap.
