A courageous young woman raced into an oncoming snowplow to rescue a calico kitten that was being plowed into a snowbank.
Adalena the little calico was saved last weekend thanks to the heroic act by a young woman.
Michelle from Meriden, Connecticut saw a tiny frail kitten being pushed by a plow but no one seemed to be doing anything to save her. "(She) tried all she could to stop the plow .. even brought it to the attention of an officer," Meriden Humane Society said via Facebook.
Unfortunately no one responded to her plea. "This young woman seeing that no one cared, raced into the oncoming plow and save this kitten from what most likely would have been the end of her life."

Adalena is now safe and in good hands at Meriden Humane Society!
"She is eating, has been seen by our vet, has a upper respiratory infection from the cold she endured, but all in all she seems well. It will take her some time to get herself together, but is on the mend!"
"She is adapting and will be available for adoption in about two weeks," Meriden Humane Society told Love Meow.
The little calico girl is faring well in her foster home.
"She is receiving TLC from our own Heather Sullivan who has taken on the responsibility of caring for her at this time. Along with our veterinarians at East Side Vet, we are certain that she will be healthy for her chance at a new loving home!"
