They took in a kitten found in the middle of a highway and helped her grow into the most charming little cat.

About three months ago, a tiny orange kitten was found alone in the middle of a highway. She was cold, hungry, and far too young to be on her own.

Only a few weeks old, the kitten had a big voice and an incredible will to live. She cried out desperately for her mother, who was nowhere to be found. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan spotted her just in time and brought her to safety.

When Good Karma Pet Rescue received the call for help, their volunteers sprang into action.

A foster family welcomed the kitten into their home and lovingly named her Nacho. They began bottle-feeding her around the clock, making sure she stayed warm. No more lying on cold pavement, Nacho now had a cozy bed and a devoted family watching over her.

"The whole family has been trained on bottle feeding, and they are 'fighting over who feeds her,'" the rescue told Love Meow.

Nacho was given a second chance at life when she was pulled from the highway and placed into foster care. She arrived fragile and underweight, but within days, she gained weight and strength.

Her foster family gave her a plush toy to cuddle with in bed, so she would never feel alone.

With a family catering to her every need, Nacho never missed a feeding and was showered with cuddles and kisses. She quickly bonded with her humans, always wanting to be close, and turned into a true people-cat.

Her foster dad doted on her endlessly and took great pride in every milestone she reached.

As Nacho grew bigger and steadier on her feet, her playful and mischievous personality emerged, and her classic orange-cat charm began to shine. "She has been raised into the confident, sweet little firecracker she is today," the foster family shared.

Nacho especially loved being carried around the house, perched on her human's shoulder like a tiny parrot.

"This girl has personality, charm, and enough sass to make every day brighter."

Even after she was old enough to wean and big enough to zoom around the house and leap on and off furniture, Nacho held onto her love for the bottle just a bit longer. Her foster family happily indulged her, smiling as she wiggled her ears while she drank.

Nacho blossomed into a happy, affectionate young cat, always surrounded by people who adored and spoiled her. When she was finally ready for adoption, the rescue hoped she would find a home with a feline friend she could cuddle and play with.

Earlier that year, the rescue had taken in another orange cat named Ed, who quickly earned a reputation as a total love bug.

Ed was known for launching himself into people's laps and smothering them with affection.

When a family fell in love with Nacho, they couldn't help but notice Ed, too. Both cats were clingy, loving, and clearly happiest with company. Knowing they would be perfect together, the family made the decision to adopt them both.

Nacho happily graduated from foster care and headed to her forever home with her big brother, Ed.

She now has a lifelong companion to match her boundless energy, and together they fill their home with joy and plenty of orange-cat mischief.
