This miniature kitty is two years old but the size of a three month old kitten. She is a special little cat, who was less than a pound when they rescued her from death row.

"She showed up at a high kill shelter (meaning she had 72 hours to get rescue or an adopter or she was to be euthanized)," Karyn Poplin of Kitty Adventure Rescue League and Sanctuary told Love Meow.

Coconuts was about five months old at the time but only weighed barely a pound. A kitten her age should be around 4-6 lbs.

Karyn took the miniature kitten out of the shelter and gave her a forever home at her cat sanctuary in Fort Worth, Texas.

"Our vet says that either she was given vaccines too young or the mother was given improper shots while pregnant. There's really no way to tell, but Coconuts' growth is clearly stunted from something."

When she arrived in her new home, little Coconuts was so grateful that she couldn't stop the cuddles.

Coconuts may be tiny, but she surely makes up for it with affection.

She is a big lovebug with a tiny body, and she makes sure her human dad always has a buddy to snuggle with.

"She and my husband are best friends - she really likes beards!"

A year and a half after Coconuts moved into her forever loving home, she has tripled her size at 3.5 lbs!

At almost two years old, she is still a petite little gal. "She's so tiny she thinks she belongs on shoulders."

She keeps her human dad company and won't let him be without her supervision.

She loves perching on shoulders whether her humans are awake or asleep.

When her human dad's shoulders need a break, she claims a family friend's as that's where she reins.

"In all this time, and with as much as she eats, she has never been bigger than she is right now. We love her anyway, and we will never fail her."

They gave Coconuts a loving home, many shoulders to perch on, and the life she always wanted. Nothing makes her happier than being with her humans and purring into their ears.

The tiny gal has a big heart and so much love to give.
