A shy kitten found confidence in another cat after he was rescued from the outdoor life.

A little tabby and his siblings were spotted outside in a neighborhood near Montreal, Canada. Three weeks later, only the tabby remained. When he returned to the kind family that had given him food, they knew they had to get him off the streets before it was too late. They used treats to lure him into their home and was able to get him to safety.

Stefany, an animal rescuer and volunteer of Chatons Orphelins Montréal, was then contacted. She picked up the kitten and transported him to Montreal.

"He was named Alvin. He was covered in fleas and ear mites and had a belly full of worms," Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared with Love Meow.

The kitten was very shy and worried while he was being treated at the vet. When he arrived in his foster home, he immediately took refuge and just wanted to hide.

The timid little tabby was unsure about his new surroundings and needed some time and lots of encouragement to help him find courage.

Alvin's foster family started socializing him by giving him plenty of cuddle sessions, where he was wrapped in a towel while being hugged. "He was very shy, but if we held him like a purrito, he would start to purr," Celine said. "He was the only survivor from his litter born outside. All he wanted was to be protected and reassured."

They placed him with other kittens to help him be more confident. One of his feline friends took him under her wing.

A few weeks prior to Alvin's arrival, another kitten named Pippa was found outside a residence all by herself. The homeowner heard her cries and tried to locate the elusive kitten. She left food out for the little stray, hoping to earn her trust.

After three days, she got the young cat and brought her inside. The kitty was hungry and in rough shape with a severe upper respiratory infection.

The kind woman gave her food and immediately reached out to her local rescue Chatons Orphelins Montréal for help. "She was treated for her eyes and several other ailments," Celine shared.

With proper medical care, lots of good food and love from her foster family, Pippa bounced back on her paws and found her sass.

"As soon as she got to know her humans, she became more playful and started to learn to trust. It didn't take long for her to snuggle up to us and purr."

Pippa, the odd-eyed beauty, quickly discovered her playful side and became very interested in everything around her.

When Alvin and Pippa met in their foster home, it was love at first sight. The shy tabby quickly gravitated towards his new friend and started following her everywhere she went.

Alvin who was an avid hider and escape artist, spends most of his time now playing and napping with Pippa.

He is getting braver each day as he wrestles and runs around the room with his little partner in crime.

"Alvin likes to go wherever Pippa goes and he likes to tease her to play with him. They have a great bond and are often found sleeping together," Celine shared with Love Meow.

Pippa adores her best friend and her presence reassures him that he is in good paws.

Alvin has found his courage through his sister from another mister. He looks up to her and even tries to imitate her when she plays.

"They are very close even though they are not from the same litter. Both kittens were rescued from the outdoor life and are now looking for a forever home together."
