She doesn't have a pair of back paws, but little Alfie doesn't think there's anything different about her. She can even run faster than many other kitties.

When she came to the shelter, they gave her a big teddy to cuddle with. Meet Alfie!

Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control shares with Love Meow: "Alfie, a little 5-week-old, female kitten has stolen our hearts. Alfie is full of kitten energy, curiosity and playfulness. Her back legs have no paw pads, one doesn't even have a paw and neither are formed correctly.

Alfie has no idea anything is different about her. She is doing great! She gets around really well with her little bandages on which we're changing every few days. She's healing well too. We'll know a little more about what next steps to take once she's grown a bit and we can see how her legs develop and how well she'll get around then."

Her legs are getting better each week. She can walk very fast and can even race against another kitty with all four paws.
