A 6-week-old kitten was brought to a local shelter after she was found as a stray.

She was born special with one extra long leg.

Tara Kay, founder of The Odd Cat Sanctuary in Salem, Massachusetts, came across the special needs kitten who was in need of rescue. She reached out to the shelter and offered to take her.

"She was six weeks old and born with congenital deformed back legs - one is extra long and the other has no foot on it, just a stump," Tara told Love Meow.

Joelene, a volunteer of the rescue, picked her up from the shelter and gave her a ride to her new home. The kitten nuzzled in her arms and purred throughout the trip.

"When we first met, she started purring and just wanted to be snuggled."

They named her Millie. Her left hind leg is much longer than the others, and the right one is missing a paw, but Millie doesn't let anything slow her down. (Scroll down for video)

"Our mission is to help cats and kittens that were challenged and neglected, or what we lovingly refer to as 'The Odd Cat.'"

As soon as she arrived at the Odd Cat Sanctuary, she began to explore, scampering around the room before making her way up Tara's shoulder for a snuggle.

Nothing can stop this rambunctious little kitten from having fun.

The fearless kitty surprised everyone with what she can do despite having one extra long limb.

"She's sassy and sweet. She loves to eat and screams for attention to be held," Tara told Love Meow. "She runs and plays like crazy and purrs nonstop."

After Millie settled in, they introduced her to some of their resident cats — one of them was Lucy, who was born with "twisted leg syndrome."

Lucy recently lost her bonded feline friend, Ethel, a special needs kitten. Millie came up to her and decided to play and cuddle as if she knew Lucy could use a buddy.

"Lucy was sad after Ethel didn't come home," Tara said. "She was happy to have a friend again and accepted her right away."

The two kitties play together constantly. Millie loves to run and will race around the room with her best friend.

Millie doesn't think she is any different. She continues to play and do anything that a kitten would do without a care in the world.

"She's sweet, full of life and a miracle for how she was born," Tara said.
