A couple rescued and adopted Kitty the 18-year-old tortie cat and her 13 year old brother Smokey, so they could live out the best of their lives at a place they call their forever home.

They've lived together their whole lives, but somehow found themselves in a situation where they were given up and needed a forever home.

When Karyn Poplin and her husband found the kitties, they instantly fell in love. They knew they had to save them before they ended up at the shelter where their fate would be uncertain.

The couple took the kitties into their cat sanctuary, Kitty Adventure Rescue League & Sanctuary, and it didn't take long for the furry pair to feel right at home. "They've adjusted quite well so far! Both out and exploring, both slept in the bed with us last night. They seem to like it here," Poplin told Love Meow.

At 18, Kitty is still a kitten at heart. She's super lovable and very friendly.

This is her telling her humans the bed is hers now.

"Smokey cuddled up to my husband's back. He likes to be under the covers," Poplin told Love Meow.

Kitty and Smokey are so happy that they can stay together and have a home and people who love them and care for them for the rest of their lives.

All they wanted is a bit of comfort and someone to love. Now they have both!

Kitty even made a new friend, Samantha, another resident cat.
