Mr. Kitty was 15 years old when he was abandoned, facing an uncertain fate. This cat with an old man crackly meow always loves to voice his purrsonal opinions.

Mr. Kitty was sadly abandoned at a vet's office. He was confused and lost.

Knowing that a cat his age may end up at death's door if put in the shelter, Karyn Poplin of Kitty Adventure Rescue League, a cat sanctuary in Fort Worth, Texas, took him in and gave him a wonderful home to spend his retirement.

He wasn't really a lap cat, so they said.

The senior kitty was completely unsure about his surroundings when he came to his new home and hid himself in the cat condo. Karyn reached out her hand, trying to comfort him, and brought him food and more love, and soon everything began to change.

When Mr. Kitty finally let out his first meow, it was the most wise sound they ever heard from a cat. He became more and more vocal each day and his personality started to shine. But out of all the progress he made, Mr. Kitty who used to be very shy, took a liking to his new human mom.

"He's usually very outspoken about things and a little standoffish. But he likes me, and he likes taking naps with me," Karyn said.

He is 15 years old, which is about 76 in human years. He may have a little grumpy face here and there, but this old man is truly a lovebug.

Karyn was away for just a few hours, and when she returned, Mr. Kitty immediately demanded attention.

"Mr. Kitty is still not over me leaving them for a few hours! He demands snuggles, treats, and to be told repeatedly that he's a pretty kitty."

He may be a senior cat, but he is still a kitten at heart.

"He tries to steal the bed without 5-year-old Opossumface (right) noticing."
