After a decade, this gorgeous cat has transformed his black coat into an extraordinary looking pattern.

Meet Scrappy the cat.

At 19 years old, Scrappy has turned his beautiful dark coat into one with snowflake like markings.

When he was 7 years old, white spots appeared on his black fur. They became more extensive as he aged until it manifested into a white lace pattern.

Scrappy looks extraordinary with his unique markings. He was born in 1997 from a litter of five. He looked just like any other black kitten and was perfectly healthy.

When he was 7 years old, they began to see white freckles on his fur.

As time went by, his coat turned from completely black to flecked with white, an amazing pattern that is rarely seen in cats.

Scrappy's humans believe that their cat has a condition called Vitiligo, which caused his coat to turn a patchy white.

His profile shows his amazing snowflake like pattern.

Scrappy turned 19 in September.

Though almost two decades old, the beautiful feline is still a kitten at heart.

He loves to spend time with his human dad and grandma. Nothing makes him happier than being with his loving family.

His favorite pastime is napping in the warm sun in the garden.

Vitiligo in cats is extremely rare. It's caused by a loss of pigment in the skin.

Despite his unusual markings, Scrappy is very healthy for his age. As a super senior cat, he is active and plays like a kitten.

Sir Scrappy! Dapper little guy.

As the eldest cat in the house, Scrappy is a mentor to his feline protégés who look up to him and follow his paw prints.
