A litter of kittens were brought to a shelter after they were found as orphans. One of them was much smaller but a fighter.

Bambie the tabby was brought to a local shelter in Montreal, Canada along with her siblings. She was in rough shape and much smaller than her litter-mates.

When other kittens were nursed back to health, she was still struggling. Shelter staff reached out Chatons Orphelins Montréal and asked if they could help.

The rescue group took her in with open arms and got her the medical attention she really needed. "Her development was delayed, and her body was very tiny in proportion to her head," Celine Crom of the rescue, told Love Meow.

They started her on medication for GI problems. She began to put on weight, but it was a slow process. She was later given antibiotics and supplements to help fight off her illness.

Bambie, the tiny warrior kitty, never gave up and just kept purring. "She had a very good response to the treatment and started to feel better."

At eight weeks old, she was just half the size for her age, but she could play, run and do anything just like any other kittens her age.

Once she bounced back on her paws, her personality really blossomed.

When Bambie is not perching on a cat tree, she's on her human's shoulders, overlooking her surroundings.

"She loves to climb on the shoulders and snuggle in the crook of the neck. She will sneak into every place possible but always stays close to her humans," Celine said.

The tabby girl is tiny but is not afraid of anything. "She has the look of a cute gremlin with her fuzzy hair and big eyes," Celine added.

Bambie spent ample time cuddling with her rescuers and loved riding on their shoulders. "It reassures her a lot when she's cuddled with her humans. She likes to fall asleep under a blanket near them."

After two months in foster care, she grew into a fluffy, gorgeous cat and was ready for her next adventure in life.

Bambie was adored by other rescued kittens at her foster home.

Last week, the tabby girl had her dream come true. A family fell in love with the sweet kitty and took her to her new home.

Bambie was saved twice when she was found on the street and when she was struggling to grow.
