A couple lost their home to a hurricane 18 years ago in Miami, this time they are dealing with another tragedy of losing their house in a fire. A neighbor saw the house on fire and risked his life pulling two cats and one dog out of the burning house.

The fire started around 11a.m. in the Lake Wood Park neighborhood. Terry Brown spotted the fire before the firefighters. He moved quickly by smashing down the back window and entered the house to make sure there was no one inside. He saw the homeowners' pets and immediately took them outside the house.

When firefighters arrived, they tried to resuscitate one of the cats that took in a lot of smoke.

"One of our cats, Gizmo, she was dead and the firemen did revive her" said Cheryl Milam, one of the homeowners.

The Milam's were very thankful for what the neighbor and the firemen did to save their pets from the fire.

"He (their neighbor) was driving down the street and saw the house on fire and he knew that we had pets. And he broke down the fence and broke out the back window and came in the burning house to save our other pets" said Cheryl.

"Our biggest heart-ache right now is we lost one of our dogs" said Terry Milam.
