A stray cat with a big belly walked up to a kind woman who had been feeding her and started following her around. Cristina Piapia , an animal rescuer from Romania now living in Spain, knew she had to take her in.

A few hours later, the cat brought six beautiful furballs to her human friend.

"In April, 2010, I went to the street where Aysha the cat had been living to give her some food, but on that day she started following me around when I was about to leave," Cristina told Love Meow.

That was the first time the cat came up to her and wouldn't let her go.

Cristina realized that the stray cat wanted some help, and since the cat was due any time soon, she knew she had to get her to a safe place.

Two hours after Aysha arrived in her new home, she gave Cristina the cutest surprise!

Aysha gave birth to six beautiful little fur balls - four gingers and two tabbies.

The little kittens kept their mama very busy.

Six little munchkins loved to eat and kept purring aloud.

Mama was happy that she was able to care for them in a safe place with help from someone she trusted.
