Cat cafe is finally coming to the US. The first cat cafe in the west coast will open its doors to the community in San Francisco. Courtney Hatt, one of the co-founders of KitTea, the first cat cafe planned for San Francisco, tells Keith Bowers of Catster that their goal of the cat cafe is to create a sanctuary for rescue cats and help them find homes while provide a "zen-like place where people can relax, hang out with cats, and drink tea.".

The cats will come from local cat rescues in San Francisco, and they will stay in a comfortable environment where lots of space, care and love will be given to each cat. "Our cat oasis will be the ultimate nirvana in comparison to being left in a cage with an uncertain future, which is their fate if they are left at a city shelter. Everyone connected to this project is a devoted cat parent and animal defender. We truly want what is best for the cats." (KitTea) [Watch video about KitTea below]
