A rescue group took some of their kitties to visit folks at a local nursing home. "This is what happiness looks like!"

"I volunteer at an animal shelter and we took a few of our cats to a local nursing home. This is what happiness looks like," Bob of Animal Outreach of Cape May County shared the story with Love Meow.

"We're a small all volunteer shelter in a small town where someone from one organization always knows someone from another. Not sure whose idea it was but this looks to become a once-every-two-week thing.

"We took two of the most mellow cats I have every seen. Kabuki, the tuxedo, is actually described as 'polite' in his file."

"Animals can give us an outlet for our emotions and our need for affection especially in times when we don't have those outlets others may take for granted," Bob said.
