A Good Samaritan rescued a homeless cat from the street, but little did she know, the cat didn't come alone.

Claire from Montreal, Canada was on her way to work two months ago, when she spotted a calico under a car. She wasn't sure if the cat belonged to someone. But when she returned around noon, the cat was still there, standing alone on a corner.

The little feline was very scared but didn't run away when Claire tried to approach her, as if she wanted to be helped.

Claire gently scooped her up and took her back to the office in a quiet room. After getting her some food and water, the sweet calico was finally able to relax and get some much-needed rest.

Later that day, Claire asked around the neighborhood to see if someone was missing a cat. A few neighbors said they had seen the kitty roam around the area, but no one came to claim her.

By the evening, Claire decided to take it upon herself and get the kitty the help she needed.

She took the cat on a trip to the vet.

They couldn't find a microchip but discovered a little surprise — the calico was pregnant, and the vet felt three little babies inside her belly.

Hadrian, Claire's friend, offered to give the kitty a home to stay, and contacted a local rescue group, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, for help.

"Hadrian offered to foster her so she could have a safe place to have kittens. She was named Ciboulette," Celine Crom of Chatons Orphelins Montréal told Love Meow.

The calico quickly came out of her shell and adjusted to the indoor life. She was no longer scared and could walk around confidently with her tail held high.

Shortly after her arrival, she began to ask for attention and affection from her human friends. "The first night, she started to purr and became very comfortable around her foster family."

On October 2nd, Hadrian heard incessant meows coming from the kitty room. "Ciboulette was looking for her foster dad as she was going into labor," Celine said. "It reassured her to have someone she trusts by her side."

That night, she gave birth to three beautiful, healthy kittens (with extra toes), Minici, Arbok and Mary.

Ciboulette never left her kittens, caring for them around the clock. Hadrian brought her food and water to keep her replenished. After scarfing down a full plate of pate, she fell asleep with with her little ones by her side.

The sweet mama purrs up a storm and stretches her toes blissfully while her kittens are nursing away.

The polydactyl kittens have blossomed in size and personality.

They have taken over their humans' bed and constantly run around the room like they own it.

"The little family is well taken care of by their foster dad."

"Arbok (ginger and white) is very adventurous and loves to play and explore. Minici (calico) is quiet but full of sass. Mary the ginger is the calmest of all. She likes to climb anything in her way."

"The kittens (now at five weeks) are healthy and plump," Celine said.

"They are starting to learn to eat on their own, but still go to their mom for snacks throughout the day."
