A tabby cat was saved from freezing temperature. She surprised the rescuers when she brought five ginger boys and one torbie girl into the world.
"A week ago when temperatures hit just below zero, Momma Agatha, flea ridden and a huge abscess on her tail, was turned into the care of the Elkhart County Humane Society. One may never know why she was unwanted or abandoned, expecting, and fighting for her life on the streets. The shelter called us and we are never hesitant to take on expecting mothers when shelters are overcrowded," Jennifer Adams Gillispie of Here Kitty Kitty Rescue told Love Meow.
They took her to the vet to have the abscess looked at and a wellness check. "With an ultrasound and X-rays we were quick to determine she was due very soon and full of many babies!" Gillispie said.
Everyone was anxious to guess how many babies and colors. "Ten days from the day of being rescued she began labor. The excitement begins along with the patience of a long labor.
Baby number one arrives and is a healthy orange baby boy!
Then mama Agatha gave birth to more ginger furballs. "We definitely could not believe our eyes when she had identical quadruplets! And we don't think Momma could either!" Gillispie told Love Meow.
But that wasn't all, the fifth ginger boy was born.
"After the fifth male orange baby we thought she may possibly have just one more baby ready to be delivered. Then surprise a baby sister!"
The sole baby girl is an adorable torbie - a mix of tabby and tortie.
"During our blanket change, two of the babies took time to give a loving kiss."

From being unwanted and abandoned to loved by a family of gingers and a torbie!
